Zambia Unveils U20 AFCON Squad for Senegal Tournament
Zambia’s U20 national team is ready for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), with coach Hector Chilombo revealing the 21-player squad that will represent the country in Senegal starting on March 8.
The list includes notable names, such as Patson Daka, who was previously part of Zambia’s U17 team that exited early in the 2015 U17 AFCON. Daka scored two goals in the tournament before his team’s elimination, and he now replaces Saith Sakala in the U20 squad.
Zambia’s squad also features three foreign-based players: Lubambo Musonda, Benson Sakala, and Mweene Mumbi. Spencer Sautu and Patrick Ngoma, who were part of Zambia’s senior team during the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea, will also be making the trip to Senegal.
