AFCON 2027 Qualifiers: Cape Verde face Rwanda in intriguing Group K battle – Preview

Cape Verde and Rwanda meet in an intriguing Group K encounter on Tuesday, with both sides entering the contest with different ambitions after the opening round of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

For Cape Verde, the game comes at home and offers an immediate opportunity to change the mood around their campaign. The Blue Sharks suffered a 3-1 defeat to Mali in their opener and cannot afford another setback if they want to remain closely connected to the leading sides.

Rwanda, meanwhile, arrive with three points already in the bag after beating Liberia 3-1 in Kigali.
