Zambia coach Moses Sishoni has expressed great enthusiasm for the upcoming match against Morocco in the final round of Group A clash at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
In high-stake clash on Monday, the Atlas Lions will take on the Chipolopolo at the Stade Prince Moulay Abdallah, with both teams seeking for maximum points.
Despite acknowledging Morocco’s threat, Moses Sishoni insists the side will face the Atlas Lions with determination as they seeks to progress to the next stage of the tournament.
“We are very excited to be here. We know the match will not be easy against a team playing on their home ground and in front of their fans, who are like the twelve player; but this is the kind of match we are looking for.”
The Zambian coach added that the draw in the previous match against Comoros complicated the group standings, stressing that qualification will only be achieved through victory.
“The draw made the group more difficult, and there is no room for waiting for favors from others or for another competitor to lose. We have to decide things ourselves.”
“We have played against Morocco before and know what to expect. We have young players participating in the tournament for the first time, and we are good at transitioning between defense and attack; however, the key to success will be discipline and fighting spirit.”
“It starts with mentality and determination when you step onto the pitch; that’s the only way to overcome the challenge.”
Morocco sit top of Group A with four points, while Mali and Zambia are tied on two points each heading into the final round of the games.
