Morocco goalkeeper Yassine Bono has been crowned Best Goalkeeper of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations following a string of commanding displays throughout the tournament.
The Al Hilal shot-stopper was a key figure in Morocco’s run, producing several match-winning performances and showcasing remarkable consistency against some of the continent’s most potent attacking sides.
Bono finished the competition with an impressive five clean sheets, underlining his authority and reliability between the posts.
Despite his heroics, the Atlas Lions endured a painful end to their campaign, falling 1-0 to Senegal in Sunday night’s final in Rabat.
Pape Gueye’s decisive strike secured a second AFCON title for the Teranga Lions.
Nonetheless, Bono’s outstanding contribution did not go unnoticed, as he was deservedly awarded the Goalkeeper of the Tournament honour, capping off an exceptional individual campaign.
