Morocco international Soufiane Rahimi believes in his outfits abilities ahead of their anticipated semi-final clash against Nigeria at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Atlas Lions takes on the Super Eagles of Nigeria at the Stade Prince Moulay Abdallah in a fierce encounter on Wednesday, with victory crucial to securing qualification to the finals of the tournament.
While Nigeria remain the only team to have secured victories in all five games at the tournament, the Atlas Lions has four wins and a draw.
“We have a big match ahead of us against Nigeria and any player would wish to be present in the semi-finals.” He told Al Botola.
“We have prepared well for the match against Nigeria to identify their strengths and weaknesses,” he stressed.
“It will certainly be a difficult match, but we feel the responsibility, and we thank the Moroccan fans for their support. We will do everything to make the Moroccan people happy.”
“You don’t need to motivate any player before this match. Our presence in the semi-finals is a great incentive, and we are ready for all scenarios. I hope we will be mentally present in order to win.”
The winner of the match is scheduled to face either Senegal or Egypt in the final of the continental showpiece, being held in Morocco.
