Cameroon midfielder, Carlos Baleba, has stressed his outfit will remain calm against Morocco in the quarter-finals of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Indomitable Lions triumphed over South Africa in the round of 16 clash on Sunday to secure a place in the last 8 of the continental showpiece.
Junior Tchamadeu and Christian Kofane scored in the first half for the Indomitable Lions, while Evidence Makgopa scored to reduce the deficit for the Bafana Bafana in a high-stake clash.
The high-stake clash between Cameroon and host country, Morocco has been scheduled for Friday, January 9, 2026, with both teams seeking for victory to book a place in the semifinals.
“Regarding the upcoming match, we know that Morocco is a good team, and they play good football.” Baleba said at the post-match conference.
“As we have been doing from the beginning, we will remain calm, we will continue to work hard, and we will see how we can prevent them from playing and win the game.”
Baleba, who plies his trade for Premier League outfit Brighton and Hove Albion is expected to play a huge as they come up against the North African football heavyweights.
