The Uganda Football Federation (FUFA) is pushing a lucrative incentive package for the national team as preparations intensify for their crucial 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) clash against Tunisia.

The comprehensive proposal, which covers players as well as technical and support staff, is designed to boost morale and motivation as Uganda push for progress in the ongoing AFCON campaign.

The package outlines rewards tied to qualification, tournament participation and on-field performance.

Under the qualification arrangement, each eligible member of the team setup is set to receive up to $10,000, paid on a pro-rata basis depending on individual involvement across the six AFCON qualifying matches.

FUFA has also detailed allowances linked to tournament preparations, with participants earning $100 per day during the 12-day international camp, $200 per day during the AFCON camp, and a match fee of $1,200 for every game played at the finals.

In addition, FUFA has introduced performance-based incentives with increasing rewards tied to results at the tournament. Bonuses are structured around group-stage finishes and progression through the knockout rounds, with higher payouts attached to deeper runs and ultimate success at the competition.

Sources have disclosed that FUFA President Moses Magogo is personally pushing for the reward for the players.
