Sudan takes on Equatorial Guinea in their second Group E clash, scheduled to take place at the Moulay Hassan Stadium, Rabat in Morocco on Sunday, December 28, 2025.
As coach Kwasi Appiah and his charges gears up for the match, the Sudan football leader has held a special dinner for the playing body to boost the morale of the Falcons of Jediane stars as they seek for their first win at the tournament.
The team aspires to achieve victory and revive their hopes following their humiliating opening day defeat to Algeria.
Sudan AFCON participation suffered a huge blow as players threatened to boycott matches over unpaid bonuses. However, Mutasim Jaafar pledged to resolve all the obstacles, which had caused tension within the national team camp.
Jaafar promised to pay all outstanding dues to the players, a positive step aimed at boosting morale after numerous unfulfilled promises to the players, which had fueled their discontent during the Arab Cup and the Africa Cup of Nations.
Sudan will be hoping for a victory against Equatorial Guinea to revive their hopes of progressing to the knockout stage of the tournament before taking on Burkina Faso in their last group game slated for December 31, 2025.
