In the exciting contest, Pape Gueye delivered a memorable performance as the Lions of Teranga produced a spirited comeback to eliminate their Round of 16 opponent.
The midfielder scored twice in a dominant display that overturned an early deficit and reaffirmed Senegal’s status as one of the tournament’s strong contenders.

Following the win over Sudan to reach the quarter-final, Senegal will now take on Mali, who also fought to knock out Tunisia in the Round of 16 stage.
