Morocco have been drawn to face Tanzania in the Round of 16 at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations following the conclusion of the group stage.
The host nation sealed their place in the knockout rounds on Monday with an emphatic 3-0 victory over Zambia in their final Group A fixture.
That result saw the Atlas Lions finish top of the group with seven points, having recorded two wins and a draw.
Tanzania, meanwhile, booked their spot in the Round of 16 after a 1-1 draw with Tunisia in their final Group C match. The result left Tunisia second in the group with four points, behind group winners Nigeria, while Tanzania collected two points to progress alongside them.
For Tanzania, the qualification marks a historic milestone, as they advance from the group stage of the Africa Cup of Nations for the first time in their history.
The Taifa Stars reached the Round of 16 despite failing to register a win in the group phase, securing progression through their draws.
The Round 16 fixture between Morocco and Tanzania will be played on Sunday, December 4, in Rabat.
