Egypt captain Mohamed Salah has praised Morocco for the high standards displayed in the organisation of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, describing the overall atmosphere as exceptional.
The forward highlighted the quality of infrastructure and the warm reception offered in the Kingdom, noting that these elements created an ideal setting for the tournament.
Salah made the remarks after Egypt’s thrilling 3-2 victory over Ivory Coast in the quarter-finals, reflecting on the environment in which the competition has been staged.
“The excellent organisation, the quality of the infrastructure and the warm welcome in Morocco provided an ideal framework for a tournament of this level,” he said.
The Liverpool star also spoke glowingly about the spirit within the Egyptian camp, describing the current AFCON experience as a special one in his career.
“This tournament is the best in my football career. Everyone in the national team is one family, from the technical staff to the players,” Salah stated.
He further emphasised the collective commitment and focus shown by the squad throughout their preparations, stressing that the unity and dedication within the team have played a key role in helping Egypt overcome the tough challenges encountered so far in the tournament.
Salah and his teammates after overcoming Ivory Coast, have now turned their focus to the semi-final showdown against Senegal on Wednesday, January 14.
