Senegal edged past Mali with a narrow 1-0 victory on Friday to book their place in the semi-finals of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
Iliman Ndiaye’s first-half goal proved decisive in a tightly contested quarter-final, with Mali’s task made harder after Yves Bissouma was sent off just before half-time.
Despite playing with ten men, Mali showed resilience, but Senegal managed the game well to secure the win and continue their title push.
