Senegal legend Pape Fall is concerned about Omar Marmoush threat ahead of the crucial semifinals clahs against Egypt at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

The high-stake semifinals clash between Senegal and Egypt has been scheduled to take place on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, with both teams seeking for a win to secure a place in the finals of the tournament, being held in Morocco.
Speaking to FilGoal.com, Pape Fall acknowledged Marmoush threat, while urging Senegal to constantly mark him out of the match.
“I know the match will be very tactical. Egypt against Ivory Coast was very tactical, with constant pressure on the ball carrier, good defensive three-man defense, excellent anticipation and interception of the ball in the middle to launch quickly forward, and exploiting Marmoush’s speed and cunning, as one movement from him is enough, and he must be watched like someone watching milk on the fire. Imam Ashour is also a very important player and must be watched carefully.” He said.
Senegal last won the Africa Cup of Nations in 2021 in Cameroon and are chasing their second continental laurel in Morocco.
