Morocco international Hamza Igamane has confirmed his availability for the high-stake quarterfinals clash against Cameroon at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations tournament.
The 23-year-old forward, who plies his trade for French Ligue 1 outfit Lille has yet to make an appearance for the Atlas Lions at the continental showpiece due to an injury setback.
Igamane has recovered from the adductor muscle injury and is expected to feature in the much-anticipated clash against the Indomitable Lions on Friday, January 9, 2026.
“The match will be difficult for both sides, and we hope for success from God and to achieve victory and qualification.”
“Thank God I have recovered from the injury and I am fully ready, and our focus is on the next match.”
“We work as a team and we don’t care who plays or sits on the bench, and I have no problem with that. Our only goal is to win,” he stressed.
The high-stake clash between Morocco and Cameroon has been scheduled to take place at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium.
It promises to be a thrilling encounter, as both teams will be seeking for victory to secure a place in the semifinals of the continental showpiece.
The winner of the Morocco-Cameroon match will play the semi-final against the winner of the Algeria-Nigeria match next Wednesday.
