FIFA President Gianni Infantino has commended Morocco and Senegal for their impressive run to the final of the Africa Cup of Nations.
The Atlas Lions and the Lions of Teranga will lock horns on Sunday at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium, with the continental title at stake.
In a message shared ahead of the showpiece encounter, Infantino extended his best wishes to both sides, describing them as outstanding footballing nations.
“Congratulations to Morocco and Senegal on qualifying for the CAF Africa Cup of Nations final. Good luck to these two great footballing nations,” he wrote on social media.
He added that he was eagerly anticipating what he described as an epic clash, saying he looked forward to watching both teams battle for the trophy.
“I eagerly look forward to seeing them face off in this epic final for the title.”
The final is scheduled to kick off at 19:00 GMT.
