Zimbabwe goalkeeper Elvis Chipezeze has expressed his disappointment following their elimination from the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Morocco.

Zimbabwe showcased glimpses of great football to cause an upset in their final game against South Africa and qualify for the last-16 but it could not materialized.
The 40-year-old shot stopper, who plies his trade for Magesi FC warmed the bench, as Washingston Arubi kept the post in the final group game.
Speaking after the march, the Magesi FC goal-minder expressed his disappointment following his outfit elimination from the ournament.
“It’s difficult and painful for us. We wanted to be the team that made history by qualifying for the next round, but we’ll take the positives out of this tournament, because at the end of the day, many more AFCON’s are still to come,” Chipezeze said.
“This is something we need to build on, and maybe with a bit of a luck we could’ve jumped over this hurdle but it wasn’t meant to be.” He said.
