The Egyptian national team has confirmed plans to move its training base from Agadir to Tangier as preparations intensify for the semi-final clash against Senegal at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

The Pharaohs are scheduled to face Senegal on Wednesday, January 14, with kick-off set for 7:00 pm Cairo time, in a highly anticipated last-four encounter.

Speaking through the Egyptian Football Association’s media centre, head coach Hossam Hassan outlined the team’s travel plans, revealing that the squad will depart for Tangier on Monday evening.

“The Egyptian national team will depart for the city of Tangier at 7 pm tomorrow, Monday, on a plane in preparation for facing Senegal,” Hassan said.

He added that the team will carry out a final training session in Agadir at 5:00 pm before making the journey north.

“The Egyptian national team will hold its training session tomorrow in the city of Agadir, at five o’clock in the evening, and then head to the city of Tangier,” he stated.

Egypt booked their place in the semi-finals after edging past Ivory Coast in a dramatic 3-2 quarter-final victory on Saturday, and will now shift full focus to overcoming Senegal in their bid to reach the AFCON 2025 final.
