Egyptian goalkeeper Mostafa Ahmed Shobeir has targeted victory against Angola in their final group game in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations tournament.
The record AFCON title holders narrowly defeated the Bafana Bafana of South Africa in their second Group B game on Friday, earning them qualification to the knockout stage.
And according to Shobeir, the Pharaohs will play better when they take on Angola in a high-stake clash on Monday.
“We can play better after getting rid of the pressure, and play without waiting who will win and who will score more goals,” Schubert said in the reporters’ area.
“The next game is the last in the groups and we hope to win and play well, but we take things step by step. After playing the match, we will start preparing for the next round,” he said.
Egypt have secured a 5th consecutive qualification for the knockout stage of the Africa Cup of Nations, their best run in the competition since 1994-2002. The Pharaohs currently sit on top of Group B, accumulating six points after two games.
