The Egyptian national team has arrived in the Moroccan city of Tangier as preparations intensify for their semi-final showdown against Senegal at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Pharaohs travelled from Agadir earlier on Monday as they shift focus to one of the tournament’s most anticipated fixtures.
Egypt are scheduled to face Senegal on Wednesday, January 14, with kick-off set for 7pm Cairo time, as both sides battle for a place in the final of the continental showpiece in Morocco.
Before departing Agadir, the Egyptian team held a training session on Monday evening at 5pm, fine-tuning tactical and physical preparations ahead of the crucial encounter. Confidence remains high within the camp following a dramatic quarter-final victory over Ivory Coast, where Egypt secured a 3-2 win on Saturday.
The Pharaohs’ journey to the semi-finals has been marked by consistency and resilience. They topped their group with seven points after recording victories against Zimbabwe and South Africa, alongside a draw with Angola.
In the round of 16, Egypt continued their impressive run by defeating Benin 3-1, setting the stage for their latest challenge against a Senegalese side equally determined to reach the final.
