The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed the full lineup of match officials for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations final between Senegal and hosts Morocco.
Democratic Republic of Congo referee Jean Jacques Ngambo Ndala has been appointed to take charge of the showpiece fixture.
The final will be played on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, with kick-off scheduled for 19:00 GMT.
Ndala’s appointment places him at the centre of African football’s biggest occasion, underlining CAF’s confidence in his experience and authority in high-profile matches.
Ndala will be assisted by fellow DR Congo officials Guylain Bongale Ngila and Gradel Mwanya Mbilizi, who will serve as first and second assistant referees, respectively. Styven Moutsassi Moyo has been named as the third assistant referee, while Abongile Tom will act as the fourth official.
Video Assistant Referee duties will be handled by Pierre Ghislain Atcho, with Leticia Viana and Stephane Eleazar Yiembe serving as Assistant VAR 1 and Assistant VAR 2. The referee assessor for the final has been confirmed as René Daniel Louzaya.

With emotions expected to run high and continental pride on the line, the role of the officials will be crucial in ensuring the game is managed in line with CAF regulations.
Senegal and Morocco head into the final with contrasting ambitions but equal determination, as the Teranga Lions chase another continental crown and the Atlas Lions seek to lift the AFCON trophy on home soil.
Jean Jacques Ndala will be expected to uphold the rules of the game with the highest standards.
