Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Damini Ogulu, widely known as Burna Boy, will headline the closing concert of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Fan Zone Concert in Rabat, Morocco.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) confirmed the event in a post on X on Thursday, describing it as “One last show. One MASSIVE lineup.”
The finale, branded The AFCON Last Dance, will take place on Friday, 16 January 2026, at the OLM Souissi Fan Zone in Rabat, with performances beginning at 8 p.m. local time.
CAF revealed additional acts, including Ghanaian stars Stonebwoy and Jaylann, alongside Nigerian singer Stormy, highlighting a diverse lineup designed to celebrate African music and culture.
Music has been a prominent feature throughout AFCON 2025, which began on 21 December 2025. The opening ceremony in Rabat featured Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Davido alongside French Montana and RedOne, performing Le Show shortly before Morocco’s tournament opener against Comoros at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium.
CAF praised Davido for bringing African music to global stages, noting that his energy and style reflect the spirit of the Africa Cup of Nations.
The concert comes in the wake of Morocco’s dramatic semi-final victory over Nigeria, where the hosts triumphed 4–2 on penalties after a goalless 120 minutes.
Youssef En-Nesyri converted the decisive spot-kick, while misses from Samuel Chukwueze and Bruno Onyemaechi proved costly for the Super Eagles.
Morocco will now face Senegal in the final on Sunday, 18 January, at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium, while Nigeria will meet Egypt in the third-place match at Mohammed V Stadium on Saturday, 17 January.
Burna Boy’s appearance continues a strong tradition of Nigerian performers at major continental and global events.
Other artists, including Wizkid, Rema, Tiwa Savage, CKay, and Patoranking, have achieved historic milestones in recent years, performing at venues such as Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the Glastonbury Festival, the coronation concert of King Charles III, and the Ballon d’Or ceremony, showcasing African music to global audiences.
The Rabat Fan Zone finale promises to be a high-energy celebration of African talent and football, combining the continent’s biggest sporting and musical stars in one unforgettable night.
