South Africa forward Lyle Foster has revealed that the Bafana Bafana are entering their next Africa Cup of Nations match against Egypt brimming with confidence.
In a pre-match interview, Foster credited the team’s upbeat mood to their opening victory over Angola, which has set a positive tone within the squad.
Speaking alongside coach Hugo Broos, the striker said, “The mood is very good. Winning the first match has definitely boosted our confidence.”
The upcoming Group B encounter between South Africa and Egypt is set to be a crucial clash, with both sides aiming to strengthen their position in the 2025 AFCON standings.
The match is scheduled for Friday, December 26, at the Grand Stade d’Agadir, with kickoff set for 3 pm. Foster, who netted the crucial winning goal in the victory over Angola, will be key for the Bafana Bafana in the upcoming showdown with the record champions.
A draw could be enough to send the two countries into the knockout stage of AFCON 2025.
