AFCON 2025: Angola 0-0 Egypt – MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
Angola and Egypt played out a pulsating draw on Monday in their final Group B encounter of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The Pharaohs went into the encounter having already secured qualification following back-to-back wins in their opening two matches.
With progression assured, head coach Hossam Hassan chose to rest several key players, leaving the likes of Mohamed Salah, Trezeguet and Omar Marmoush on the bench as he fielded a largely reshaped starting line-up.
Even without the top players, Egypt’s fringe players held Angola to a goalless draw and topped Group B to advance into the Round of 16.
