
Tunisia national team trainer Jalel Kadri has released his final squad list for the upcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, taking place in Cote d’Ivoire from January 13 to February 11, 2024.
Kadri’s 27-man list was unveiled on Thursday, December 28, 2023, as published by the Tunisian Football Federation on their social networks.
Legendary attacker Youssef Msakni continues to lead the Carthage Eagles as he headlines the roster for next month’s tournament.
Rising star and defender Alaa Ghram, who is close to sealing a move to Russian giants CSKA Moscow from CS Sfaxien in the winter transfer window, has been named in Kadri’s squad
The list can boast of experienced legs like Al Ahly SC left-back Ali Maaloul, who instrumental for the Egyptian side when they won the bronze at the FIFA World Cup in Saudi Arabia.
The Carthage Eagles are drawn in Group E of the tournament, where they will face South Africa’s Bafana Bafana, Mali, and Namibia.
Kadri and his team will be camping in the country before jetting off to Cote d’Ivoire for the tournament. They play against Mauritania in a test match on January 6.
Tunisia won the tournament in 2004 when they played as the hosts, beating North African rivals Morocco in the final.
