Bobby Williamson Names Kenya Squad for Crucial AFCON Qualifier Against Zambia
Kenya head coach Bobby Williamson has unveiled his full squad ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2017 qualifier against Zambia, set to be played on September 5 at Nyayo Stadium in Nairobi. The match is part of Group E in the qualification campaign for the tournament in Gabon.
Williamson announced the foreign-based players first, before supplementing the list with domestic talent, assembling a blend of youth and experience for the crucial fixture.
A Promising Start
Kenya, also known as the Harambee Stars, began their qualification campaign with a creditable 1-1 away draw against Congo at the Stade Marien Ngouabi in Owando. They will be hoping to build on that momentum when they host a strong Zambian side.
