AFCON QUALIFIERS: CLAUDE LE ROY UNVEILS CONGO’S 27-MAN SQUAD TO FACE GUINEA-BISSAU
Congolese head coach Claude Le Roy has announced a 27-man provisional squad for Congo’s crucial Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Guinea-Bissau, scheduled for September 5. The encounter is part of the second round of qualifiers.
The squad includes several regulars, notably Prince Oniangué and Thierry Bifouma, who remain pivotal figures in the Red Devils’ setup.
Congo will be looking to register their first win in the qualifiers after a 1-1 draw with Kenya in their opening match. Their next opponents, Guinea-Bissau (the Lycaons), also opened with a draw — a goalless stalemate against Zambia (Chipolopolo).
