AFCON 2015 – Group B Decider: Zambia’s Must-Win Clash Against Cape Verde
Zambia enters its final group stage match in do-or-die mode at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations. After drawing with DR Congo (1-1) and losing narrowly to Tunisia (2-1), the Chipolopolo must win against Cape Verde tonight in Ebebiyin to have any hope of reaching the quarter-finals. A draw or loss would see the 2012 champions eliminated from the tournament.
🔥 All or Nothing for Zambia
Coach Honour Janza has fielded a strong XI despite being without key forward Emmanuel Mayuka, who is ruled out for the rest of the competition due to a hamstring injury sustained against Tunisia.
🇿🇲 Zambia Starting XI:
GK: Kennedy Mweene
DEF: Davies Nkausu, Emmanuel Mbola, Christopher Munthali, Stopilla Sunzu
MID: Kondwani Mtonga, Lubambo Musonda, Chisamba Lungu, Given Singuluma
FWD: Evans Kangwa, Rainford Kalaba (Captain)
⚠️ What’s at Stake
Zambia: Must win to have any chance of progressing.
Cape Verde: A win guarantees qualification. A draw might be enough depending on the result between Tunisia and DR Congo.
Kick-off is just moments away. Zambia will need a spirited display to keep their 2015 AFCON dreams alive.
