Tunisia had a major scare during training ahead of their crucial Group B clash against Zambia on Thursday. Starting goalkeeper Aymen Mathlouthi, a key figure for the Carthage Eagles, sustained a neck injury during a morning training session and was unable to complete the session.
✅ No Serious Consequences
The Tunisian medical staff quickly intervened, and according to team doctor comments shared with MFM, the injury is not serious and will not prevent Mathlouthi from playing in Tunisia’s second match of the tournament.

Tunisia began their 2015 Africa Cup of Nations campaign with a 1-1 draw against Cape Verde last Sunday in Ebebiyin.
Ferjani Sassi and company had taken the lead through Moncer in the 70th minute.
But Cape Verde equalized from the penalty spot via Heldon just seven minutes later (77’), in a decision that sparked controversy.
