AFCON 2015 Qualifiers: Ghana Without Gyan and Asamoah for Matches Against Uganda and Togo

GHANA TO FACE UGANDA AND TOGO WITHOUT ASAMOAH GYAN & KWADWO ASAMOAH

Ghana will be without two of their most influential players—Asamoah Gyan and Kwadwo Asamoah—for the final two AFCON 2015 qualifiers against Uganda and Togo. Interim coach Maxwell Konadu announced the 23-man squad on Friday, confirming the absence of the injured duo.

🚑 Injury Update:
Asamoah Gyan, Ghana’s captain and all-time top scorer, has not fully recovered despite earlier signs of optimism.

Kwadwo Asamoah has been ruled out for at least 15 days following a knee injury sustained during a Champions League match with Juventus.

❌ Still Missing:
Ghana will also continue to be without midfielders Sulley Muntari and Kevin-Prince Boateng, both still serving disciplinary suspensions dating back to the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

Despite these setbacks, Ghana boasts a strong squad, with regulars like the Ayew brothers, Waris, Atsu, and Afful available. The Black Stars lead Group E with 8 points, ahead of Togo (6), Uganda, and Guinea (4 each).
