AFCON 2015 Qualifiers: Guinea Plans Training Camp in Cotonou Ahead of Togo Clash
The Syli National of Guinea is actively preparing for its crucial Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Togo on November 15, part of the 5th day of the 2015 qualifying campaign. Head coach Michel Dussuyer is organizing a training camp in Cotonou, Benin, from November 9 to 14, ahead of the match in Lomé.
Dussuyer, who is familiar with the region, has already selected the site for the camp. According to sources close to the Beninese Football Federation (FBF), discussions are advancing positively and the plan is on track.
Due to the Ebola epidemic, Guinea has been barred from hosting international fixtures on home soil and has been using Morocco as a temporary base. However, with most of the national team players based in Europe, no quarantine measures are expected for the squad, and health protocols are being coordinated with local authorities to ensure safe participation.
The camp in Cotonou represents a strategic decision for logistical ease and optimal preparation, as Guinea continues to chase a spot in the 2015 AFCON finals.
