Cameroon’s Final Squad for AFCON 2015: Finke Makes Tough Choices
Cameroon coach Volker Finke has revealed his final 23-man squad for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations, trimming his initial list by leaving out young Franck Bagnack of Barcelona B. The decision came after Cameroon’s 1-1 friendly draw with DR Congo.
Despite carrying a minor injury, Stéphane Mbia remains part of the group, underlining his importance as both a player and leader. Two locally based players—Pierre-Sylvain Abogo and Cédric Djeugoué—also make the cut, reflecting a balanced mix of domestic and international experience.
Cameroon will compete in Group D, arguably the “Group of Death,” alongside Ivory Coast, Mali, and Guinea.
