Algerian midfielder Akram Bouras is being linked with a move from Levski Sofia to AEK Athens, with the Greek club named as his possible destination in the latest transfer speculation.

The 24-year-old central midfielder joined Levski from MC Algiers on 30 August 2025, with the Bulgarian side paying €350,000 for his services. Bouras’ current market value is listed at €2m, more than five times the fee Levski paid for him.

Bouras has made five competitive appearances this season, starting both of Levski’s efbet Liga matches and scoring once, while also featuring in three Champions League qualifying games. He has completed 94% of the available league minutes and 75% of those in European qualifying.

His first season in Bulgaria ended with Levski winning the national championship, the latest title in a career that also includes four Algerian league championships and an Algerian Cup victory.

Bouras, who was born in Ain Azel, is a left-footed central midfielder and remains part of Levski’s first-team squad. His performances have come at the beginning of a contract that runs until 30 June 2028, meaning any move to AEK Athens would require an agreement between the clubs rather than a free transfer.
