Adil Chihi Joins Fulham on Free Transfer After Successful Trial
Moroccan international Adil Chihi is set to continue his career in England after signing with Championship side Fulham. The former FC Cologne winger, 26, has agreed to a one-year contract with the London club, with an option for a further season, following a successful trial period.
Fulham, recently relegated from the Premier League, announced the signing on their official website, confirming that Chihi joined on a free transfer after his contract with the German Bundesliga club expired.
Born in Düsseldorf, Germany, Chihi has spent the majority of his professional career with FC Cologne, making 130 appearances and scoring 20 goals since joining the club in 2005. Though born in Germany, he represents Morocco at international level, earning two caps for the Atlas Lions to date.
Fulham manager Felix Magath was reportedly impressed with Chihi during the trial and sees the winger as a valuable addition to the squad as the club aims to regain Premier League status.
Chihi’s arrival adds depth and experience to Fulham’s attacking options as they prepare for the upcoming Championship season.
