Adem Redjem has made a bold move from Algeria to Egypt, signing with Modern Sport in a deal that promises to inject flair and energy into the club’s attack for the upcoming season.
The 28-year-old winger arrives from JS Kabylie on a three-year contract, after talks steered by Modern Sport’s sporting director Abdel Zaher Al-Saqa. Known for his pace and sharp movement, Redjem is expected to become a key figure in the squad.
Redjem’s football journey began in the youth ranks of CS Constantine, where he briefly featured in the first team in 2018 before heading to Paradou AC. His big leap came in early 2023 when he joined JS Kabylie, going on to make 63 appearances, scoring six goals and delivering two assists.
His arrival takes the number of Algerians in the Egyptian top flight to four. Last season had just two, Abdel Rahim Daghmoum and Ahmed Kendouci. But recent weeks have seen Mondher Tamine join Al Masry and Youssef Fellahi sign for Smouha.
Kendouci, meanwhile, has left Egypt for Swiss side Lugano.
