Adem Chaibi: Algeria midfielder joins USM Khenchela on free transfer from CA Batna
Algerian defensive midfielder Adem Chaibi has joined USM Khenchela on a free transfer from CA Batna. The 25-year-old, who specialises in the holding midfield role, moves into Ligue 1 after his switch was finalised on 21 July 2026.
Chaibi arrives from CA Batna having spent the 2025-26 season there following another free transfer from USM Annaba the previous summer. His latest move keeps him in Algerian football but hands him the opportunity to establish himself at top-flight level with USM Khenchela.
Operating at the base of midfield, Chaibi has already gained experience in Ligue 1 and the Coupe d’Algerie, making 24 league appearances and three cup outings, scoring once in each competition and adding an assist in both. Across those games he accumulated more than 2,000 minutes on the pitch, underlining his ability to feature regularly over a campaign.
Before his spell at CA Batna, Chaibi played for USM Annaba and Chelghoum Laid, building a reputation as a consistent presence in the centre of the pitch. Born on 11 October 2000, he now reaches USM Khenchela at an age where he can offer both experience and stability in midfield.
USM Khenchela have confirmed Chaibi’s arrival as a free transfer ahead of the 2026-27 season, adding the Algerian to their Ligue 1 squad.
