Adem Arous: Venezia eye move for Kasimpasa’s Tunisian defender

Tunisia centre-back Adem Arous, currently at Kasimpasa, is being linked with a move to Serie A side Venezia as the Italian club look to strengthen their defence ahead of the new season. The 22-year-old, who joined Kasimpasa last year, is under contract in Turkey until 30 June 2028, meaning any deal would require the Italians to negotiate a fee rather than pursue a free transfer.

Arous has an estimated market value of around €4 million and has already gained experience in two top-flight divisions, having featured in Ligue 1 before moving to the Turkish Super Lig. Since arriving at Kasimpasa in September 2025 from Stade Tunisien, he has made 21 league appearances in Turkey, scoring once and adding one assist, following a 34-game spell in Ligue 1 earlier in his career.

Born in Medine in July 2004, the 1.88m right-footed defender has also been involved in continental competition, with outings in the CAF Confederation Cup, as well as domestic knockout football in the Tunisian Cup and Supercup. His growing profile has coincided with his inclusion in Tunisia’s World Cup 2026 squad pool, although he has yet to feature at the tournament.

Venezia’s interest comes with Arous still at an early stage of his Kasimpasa deal, giving the Turkish club a strong negotiating position as they weigh up whether to cash in on a player tied down for another two years.
