Adel Taarabt’s Future at QPR Hinges on Fitness, Says Harry Redknapp
Adel Taarabt, currently on loan at AC Milan since January, remains officially a Queens Park Rangers (QPR) player. With the Italian club yet to confirm a permanent deal, Taarabt is expected to return to the Premier League this season. But questions surround whether the talented midfielder can secure a place in the QPR squad upon his return.
QPR manager Harry Redknapp remains optimistic about Taarabt’s potential contribution — but only if the Moroccan international can maintain his fitness consistently.
“I’ve spent a lot of time with him,” Redknapp told Sky Sports. “He needs to be fit morning, noon and night. When training resumed, it was not like that. If he can do it and is ready to play, he will be a great asset for us.”
Redknapp’s remarks underscore the importance of fitness for Taarabt, whose talent has often been overshadowed by inconsistent physical condition. The onus is now on the player to prove his readiness to make an impact back in the Premier League.
For QPR, a club fighting to improve its standing, a fully fit Taarabt could be a key weapon, but until then, his place in the squad remains uncertain.
