Recent speculations surrounding the possible inclusion of national coach Adel Ramzi in the coaching staff of the Moroccan national team under coach Walid El Karkouri have been clarified.
The rumors emerged following the elimination of the “Atlas Lions” from the Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
To dispel any uncertainties, “Hesport” reached out to a close source to Ramzi, who confirmed that the former Wydad Casablanca coach has not received any communication from the Royal Moroccan Football Federation regarding such an appointment.
The source further explained that Ramzi is currently spending time with his small family in Marrakech after returning from the Netherlands.
Although he received an offer from an Eastern European club, he declined due to the team’s current position in the standings.
The same source indicated that Ramzi considers working with national teams or the senior national team a priority in his future plans.
This inclination towards national coaching responsibilities follows his close connection to El Karkouri’s staff before the recent World Cup.
It is noteworthy that Adel Ramzi has previously undertaken a significant coaching role with PSV Eindhoven in the Netherlands, working with various age groups and the first team.
He later led Wydad Casablanca at the beginning of the current season.
