Adebayo Adeleye: Nigerian goalkeeper makes Zakynthos switch after EN Paralimni exit

Adebayo Adeleye has joined Greek club Zakynthos on a free transfer from EN Paralimni, giving the Super League 2 side a new Nigeria international option in goal.

The 26-year-old goalkeeper completed the move on 26 August 2026 and has signed a contract with Zakynthos running until 30 June 2027. Adeleye leaves EN Paralimni after a short second spell with the Cypriot club, having returned there earlier in 2026.

Adeleye initially joined EN Paralimni from Hapoel Jerusalem in July 2024, also on a free transfer. He moved to Volos NFC at the start of the 2025-26 season before returning to EN Paralimni in January 2026. Both of those moves were completed without a transfer fee.

The goalkeeper began his senior club career with Hapoel Katamon after progressing from Hapoel Katamon Under-19s. His move to Zakynthos represents another change of club after a sequence of free transfers across Cyprus and Greece.

Born in Lagos, Adeleye represents Nigeria and stands 1.86m tall. He is right-footed and plays exclusively as a goalkeeper, bringing experience from his spells with Hapoel Katamon, Hapoel Jerusalem, EN Paralimni and Volos NFC.

Zakynthos will compete in Greece’s Super League 2 during the 2026-27 season, while EN Paralimni operate in the Cypriot second division. Adeleye therefore moves between clubs from different leagues as he begins his latest chapter in Greece.

His current market value is listed at €300,000, while his highest recorded value has been €500,000. No transfer fee was paid for the move, with Adeleye leaving EN Paralimni to take up his new contract in Zakynthos.

Adeleye’s move to Zakynthos was completed on 26 August 2026, with the Nigerian goalkeeper contracted to the Greek club until 30 June 2027.
