Adama Traore: Samsunspor linked with move for Spain-Mali winger

Spain-Mali winger Adama Traore, who is currently without a club, has been linked with a move to Turkish Super Lig side Samsunspor.

Traore, 30, plays as a right winger and is predominantly right-footed. The proposed move is understood to be at rumour stage, with no transfer fee, contract terms or probability attached to the report.

The player’s listed market value is €6m. He was most recently associated with West Ham United, who were relegated from the Premier League in the 2025-26 season. Traore is now unattached and available for a new club.

Born in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, Spain, Traore holds Spanish and Malian nationality. He began his senior career at Barcelona and won the Spanish Cup with the Catalan club in 2014-15. He also won the UEFA Youth League with Barcelona’s under-19 side in 2013-14.

Traore has also previously experienced relegation with Aston Villa during the 2015-16 season. His potential move to Samsunspor would take him to the Turkish top flight, with the club currently identified as the prospective destination.

No agreement has been confirmed, and Traore remains without a club as of 11 August 2026.
