AJ Auxerre suffered its third consecutive away defeat, losing 1-0 against Lens. Despite dominating the first half, Auxerre’s performance dropped in the second half, allowing Lens to capitalize on one of their rare opportunities with Touzghar scoring the decisive goal in the 80th minute.
Malian international Adama Coulibaly, who plays as a central defender for AJ Auxerre, expressed disappointment with the team’s performance. Coulibaly acknowledged that they had numerous chances but failed to convert them. He pointed out that the team stopped playing effectively after the break, leaving room for Lens to secure the win. Coulibaly, who has been with Auxerre since joining from Lens, played for Djoliba AC before moving to France. He has been a part of the Mali national team since 2001.
