Sudanese football powerhouse Al Hilal will have to make do without Malian forward Adama Coulibaly for their upcoming Mauritania Super D1 fixtures.
The 19-year-old attacker is currently recovering from an injury and will not feature in the crucial domestic encounters, as the club faces the ongoing turmoil in Sudan.
The Omdurman-based club confirmed the news through their medical team, stating that Coulibaly is following a rehabilitation program. Individual training is set to begin next week as he works his way back to full fitness. Coulibaly, who has netted six goals in all competitions this season, was an unused substitute during Hilal’s 0-4 loss to TP Mazembe in their final CAF Champions League group match.
Amidst speculation of a January move away from Al Hilal, the club has firmly denied the rumors. French Ligue 1 and Egyptian Premier League clubs are reportedly monitoring the player, according to YallaKora, but the Sudanese side is intent on keeping the young talent.
