German side FC Nuremberg have made a €1.5 million offer for Al Hilal Omdurman winger Adama Coulibaly as competition grows for one of the most sought-after young talents linked with a summer move.

The 20-year-old, known as “Messi”, has attracted interest from clubs across Europe, the Gulf region and North Africa following an impressive campaign with Al Hilal Omdurman.

Nuremberg have become the first club mentioned to submit a concrete proposal, signalling their determination to secure his signature ahead of the new season.

The Bundesliga 2 club, which finished eighth during the 2025-26 campaign, are seeking to strengthen their squad and view Coulibaly as a player capable of adding quality and attacking threat.

Discussions over a possible transfer remain ongoing, however, with the player’s current circumstances adding another layer to the process.

Coulibaly is presently in Qatar undergoing rehabilitation after undergoing knee surgery in April.

His recovery continues to be closely monitored by interested clubs, many of whom are waiting to assess his progress before making further decisions regarding a potential transfer.

Among those keeping a close watch is Al Sadd.

The Qatari club has shown interest in the winger and is following developments surrounding his rehabilitation programme.

Coulibaly’s compatriot Mohamed Camara, known as “Tiamantié”, currently plays for the club, adding another potential connection should a move materialise.

While Nuremberg have already submitted an offer and Al Sadd continue to observe the situation, the race for the player remains far from settled.

Al Sharjah are also firmly involved in the pursuit.

The Emirati side have maintained communication regarding the winger and have not withdrawn from discussions with the player’s representative.

Their continued interest highlights the growing demand for Coulibaly, whose performances have attracted attention from clubs in several football markets.

The winger’s future has become a significant topic despite the fact that he recently signed a contract extension with Al Hilal Omdurman.

The agreement added an extra year to his stay at the club, but it was reportedly reached with the understanding that he could depart during the summer transfer window should a serious offer arrive.

That arrangement has left the door open for a transfer, particularly as interest from multiple clubs continues to intensify.

Coulibaly remains under contract until 30 June 2029, giving Al Hilal Omdurman a strong position in any negotiations.

The length of the deal means any interested club would likely need to meet the expectations of the Sudanese side before a transfer could be completed.

His value has risen considerably following a productive season in which he made a notable contribution in front of goal.

Across all competitions, the winger scored 10 goals and registered seven assists, helping Al Hilal Omdurman enjoy a successful campaign.

His performances played a role as the club finished at the top of the 2025-26 Rwandan Premier League standings.

Those statistics have strengthened his reputation and explain why clubs from different regions are now tracking his situation closely.

According to Africafoot sources, interest is not limited to Germany, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.

Moroccan clubs RS Berkane and Wydad AC are also monitoring the player as they explore options to strengthen their squads.

The growing list of admirers underlines the extent of Coulibaly’s rise and suggests that competition for his signature could increase further in the coming weeks.

For now, Nuremberg hold the distinction of having made a formal offer, but the outcome remains uncertain as negotiations continue and the player focuses on his recovery.

With clubs from several countries expressing interest, Al Hilal Omdurman face an important summer as they weigh their options regarding one of their most promising young players.

Whether Coulibaly’s next destination is Germany, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates or elsewhere, his future is likely to remain one of the transfer market’s most closely watched stories until a decision is reached.
