Adam Aznou: Everton’s Morocco-Spain full-back linked with Elche CF switch amid La Liga interest
Everton left-back Adam Aznou, the Morocco-Spain defender currently under contract at Goodison Park, is being linked with a move to La Liga side Elche CF as the Spanish club explore options to strengthen on the left side of their defence.
Aznou only joined Everton from Bayern Munich on 29 July 2025 in a deal worth €9m, but his future is already being questioned despite having a contract on Merseyside until 30 June 2029. Elche are monitoring the 20-year-old’s situation as they weigh up a potential approach ahead of the new campaign.
Born in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat and eligible for both Morocco and Spain, Aznou has already experienced top-flight football in Spain and Germany, making 13 La Liga appearances during a loan spell at Real Valladolid and featuring briefly in the Bundesliga for Bayern. He has also played in the UEFA Champions League and Club World Cup, underlining his exposure to elite-level environments at a young age.
Aznou’s reputation was enhanced further by his performances in youth competition, where he produced goals and assists in the UEFA Youth League, and he arrives in England with the pedigree of a German title winner from Bayern’s 2024-25 campaign. His current market valuation stands at around €6m, a figure that would form a reference point in any negotiations.
With Everton having yet to establish him in their Premier League side and Elche assessing the cost of a deal for a player tied down for another three years, any move remains at the rumour stage while the Spanish club consider their next steps.
