Achraf Krir: Tunisian goalkeeper joins Stade Gabesien on free transfer

Tunisian goalkeeper Achraf Krir has joined Stade Gabesien on a free transfer from Olympique Beja. The 34-year-old has signed a deal running until 30 June 2028 with the Gabes-based club.

Krir, who stands at 1.87m and is right-footed, moves after a second spell with Olympique Beja, having rejoined them in January 2026 from JS Kairouan, also as a free agent. His switch continues a career spent largely in Tunisian football, with Stade Gabesien securing an experienced option in goal for the coming seasons.

The Zarsis-born keeper has been on the move regularly in recent years. Before returning to Beja in 2026, he had short stints at JS Kairouan and CA Bizertin, the latter following a period without a club in the 2023-24 campaign. Earlier in his career he featured for ES Zarzis, ES Sahel, ES Metlaoui and Saudi side Al-Adalah, as well as Tunisian outfit AS Rejiche.

Krir’s most notable honour to date came with Olympique Beja, where he was part of the side that lifted the Tunisian Cup in the 2022-23 season. His new contract with Stade Gabesien ties him to the club for the next two years as he begins the latest chapter of his career.
