Achraf Hakimi’s agent provides injury update ahead of potential Champions League final
Achraf Hakimi could still feature in the UEFA Champions League final, according to his agent Alejandro Camano, who has offered an update on the defender’s condition following his recent injury.
The Paris Saint-Germain star sustained a knock during the first leg of the semi-final clash against Bayern Munich, raising concerns about his availability for the remainder of the competition.
Speaking to WinWin, Camano stressed that Hakimi’s recovery remains under the close supervision of PSG’s medical team.
“The matter is in the hands of the Paris Saint-Germain medical staff, which is a very distinguished staff, and the player is working on his recovery to be with his team as soon as possible,” he said.
When asked about the possibility of Hakimi featuring in the final, should PSG progress, the agent remained cautious.
“I don’t know. This is a matter for the club’s medical staff to decide, and they are among the best in the world of football. I expect they are working to prepare him for that match.”
French media reports have suggested that the Moroccan international has a chance of recovering in time for the final, provided PSG secure qualification by overcoming Bayern Munich in the decisive second leg.
Hakimi’s potential return would be a major boost for the Parisian side as they aim to reach and compete in Europe’s biggest club fixture.
