Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique has described Moroccan defender Achraf Hakimi as a game-changer for his side.

Speaking to the media, Enrique highlighted Hakimi’s influence both on and off the pitch, revealing that the defender was chosen by his teammates as the club’s second captain.

“Hakimi’s status hasn’t changed in the last two years. He’s one of the leaders in the dressing room. His teammates elected him as their second captain, which shows his status and level within the team,” Enrique said.

Enrique also applauded Hakimi’s consistency, versatility, and winning mentality.

“As a player, he’s a game-changer; he has a lot of defensive and offensive qualities and plays almost every game, always giving 100 per cent. I’m very happy to have him on the team,” he said.

The PSG manager went even further, declaring Hakimi the best right-back in world football. He explained that Hakimi’s exceptional quality is the primary reason PSG has not considered signing another full-back.

“For me, he is definitely the best right-back in the world. That’s why we’re not signing another right-back. He almost always plays, and if he doesn’t, we have other options. You have to pay a lot of money to get a right-back who’s only a backup, plays three games, and then gets demotivated,” the coach added.

Hakimi has been one of PSG’s standout performers this season, known for his pace, attacking insight, and defensive discipline.
