Achraf Hakimi hits first Paris Saint-Germain hat-trick in 5-1 win over Le Havre

Achraf Hakimi scored his first hat-trick for Paris Saint-Germain as they strengthened their position at the top of Ligue 1 with a 5-1 victory over Le Havre on Friday.

The Morocco international struck in the 28th, 55th and 69th minutes during the ninth round of the season, while also providing two assists. He was therefore directly involved in all five of Paris Saint-Germain’s goals at the Parc des Princes.

The result maintains Paris Saint-Germain’s lead in the Ligue 1 standings and leaves Le Havre, the competition’s bottom club, facing a heavy defeat.

A landmark performance for Hakimi

Hakimi is more commonly associated with his work at right-back, his pace and his willingness to move forward from defence. Against Le Havre, however, he was the decisive attacking figure, repeatedly finding space in and around the opposition penalty area.

His three goals marked the first hat-trick of his time with Paris Saint-Germain. The performance underlined the Moroccan’s ability to influence matches beyond his defensive responsibilities, with his movement, technical quality and forward runs creating sustained problems for Le Havre.

By contributing to five goals in a single match, Hakimi played a central role in one of Paris Saint-Germain’s most convincing victories of the campaign. His display also highlighted the importance of his attacking contribution within the team’s system.

A key part of Paris Saint-Germain’s plans

Hakimi remains under contract with Paris Saint-Germain until 2029 and continues to establish himself as one of the leading players in the squad. His market value is estimated at 80 million euros by Transfermarkt.

The Morocco international’s ability to combine defensive work with a consistent threat in the final third has made him an important part of Paris Saint-Germain’s project. His performance against Le Havre provided a particularly clear example of that balance, as he was influential both in creating chances and in finishing them.

With the club’s next fixtures approaching, Paris Saint-Germain can rely on a Hakimi in especially productive form. The defender’s first hat-trick in the Paris Saint-Germain shirt is likely to remain one of the most notable moments of his career in the French capital.
