Paris Saint-Germain and Morocco defender Achraf Hakimi celebrated his 26th birthday on Monday evening with an intimate gathering in Paris. The event, held at a local restaurant, saw Hakimi joined by close family members, including his two young sons, Amine and Naim. The Moroccan international shared a few moments from the celebration on his Instagram account, captioning his photos with a simple reflection: “Another year.”

Hakimi’s birthday prompted an outpouring of well-wishes from fellow footballers across the globe, particularly from members of Morocco’s national team and his PSG teammates.

Some notable figures who extended their greetings included Yassine Bounou, Hakim Ziyech, Ilias Akhomach, and Soufiane Rahimi.

PSG colleagues such as Kylian Mbappé, Sergio Ramos, and Arnau Tenas also expressed their birthday messages, showing the strong bonds Hakimi has formed both at club and national levels.

In addition to his milestone birthday, Hakimi’s celebration comes during an important time for Moroccan football, as the Atlas Lions prepare for a pair of critical matches in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.

Morocco leads Group B in the race for qualification for the 2025 tournament, having won all four of their matches thus far.

With 12 points, they sit comfortably ahead of Gabon, who follow with seven points.

The Central African Republic is currently in third place with three points, while Lesotho trails with a single point.

The Atlas Lions’ upcoming training camp for the AFCON qualifiers will serve as crucial preparation for their matches against Lesotho and Gabon, scheduled for November 15 and 18.

Hakimi is expected to be a key player in these fixtures, bringing his high-level experience from PSG to support Morocco’s continued dominance in their group.

Achraf Hakimi has become a vital figure for both PSG and the Moroccan national team, known for his exceptional pace, defensive strength, and versatility on the field.

Since joining PSG, he has consistently demonstrated his commitment and skill, earning respect from both teammates and fans.

For Morocco, Hakimi has been instrumental in their recent successes, including their historic World Cup campaign and current commanding lead in the AFCON qualifiers.

Hakimi’s birthday celebration, marked by camaraderie and the presence of family, was a well-deserved moment of joy in his busy career.

As he returns to training, he will be focused on helping Morocco secure their place in AFCON 2025 and on continuing his impressive form with PSG in both domestic and international competitions.
