Achille Emana Signs with Nàstic Tarragona in Spain’s Second Division
Veteran Cameroonian midfielder Achille Emana has sealed a return to Spanish football, signing a one-year deal with Gimnàstic de Tarragona, with an option for an additional season. The 33-year-old joins the Segunda División side after a successful trial that began on July 24.
Emana, best known for his time with Toulouse FC in France and Real Betis in Spain, impressed Nàstic’s coaching staff during his trial period, earning himself a contract as the club looks to bolster its attacking options for the upcoming campaign.
The midfielder brings with him a wealth of international experience, having also featured in Mexico and the Middle East in recent years. Emana’s return to Spain marks a familiar chapter in his career, particularly following his impactful spell at Betis between 2008 and 2011.
Nàstic Tarragona is expected to formally present Emana to the media and supporters on August 10. The club will hope his experience and creativity in midfield can play a crucial role in their push for success in the Segunda División.
